Lab 10

In this lab I am carrying on with my coursework two and blogging. I have yet again changed the layout and colours to my blog as I didn’t get that much good feedback for it which meant I had to change things around yet again. However, it does look much better. I have nearly completed my coursework two which is due in on the following Monday. So today I will get some final feedback on it to see if everything is going well and I am not missing anything out. I want to get as much feedback for my work as possible so I get it to the best standard and achieve the grade I desire. Thanks for reading my blog.

Lab 9

In today’s lab I will put in the results I got from my questionnaires that I gave out to people last week. I would show these results in graphs and pie charts to make it look appealing and also it’s easier to look at data this way. I will create these charts and graphs by using Microsoft Excel. Today we have a new lab tutor that has taken over my last tutor. We got to know each other and she has helped me understand what I need to do to complete my coursework two. She has also explained what we all need to do and write for our presentation which will be shown to everyone in two weeks’ time. In this lab I learnt about what it is that I need to do.

Lab 8

In today’s lab I have asked for feedback for my coursework to see if I am doing it right and if I am missing anything out. The feedback helped me a lot as my lab tutor told me what I needed to improve on. Today was my lab tutors last day so I made the most of it by getting him to help me with everything that I thought I would find difficult. This helped me a lot and made me complete my coursework much easier. Today I will go out and give my questionnaires to people. I will be handing it out to students as they are more likely to be using a PC operating system to do their work. Last week I printed out twenty. Ten would be for people aged 18 – 24 and the other ten would be for people aged 25 – 30. 

Lab 7

This week I have created a questionnaire for my coursework two so that I can give it out. In today’s lab I will print out all the questionnaires for my targeted groups so that I can give it out for people to fill. In this lab, my lab tutor showed us how to do referencing for our coursework two by using the online library which is on our universities website. I have learnt how to do this online which saves me from having to go to the library myself to look for a book as everything can be done online. This will leave me more time to complete my coursework. So in today’s lab I will try and get some references from books, websites to journals. 

Lab 6

I have bought a CD this week from this week’s lecture. This CD is written by the module leader which will help us in our coursework two. In today’s lab I have gone through the CD book to get an idea for my coursework. I have come up with ‘Which interactive PC system meets your needs and requirements, Windows XP or 7?’ this is the question I will base my research on. Today I have just started on writing up why I have chosen this question and how I will go and research this. I decided to research on two different age groups so that I get a different range of answers. I will do this by creating a questionnaire and give it out by next week.

Lab 5

In today’s lab I have been designing my blog. I have been designing and changing around the layout for my blog and trying out different colours to see which one looks the most appealing. I changed around the different font styles to make it look more interesting. I searched online for peoples blogs to get an idea from there. This week in lecture we have been told about our coursework two and what we are going to be covering. But in today’s lab, we got a more in depth explanation on how to start our coursework two. My lab tutor helped me to get started by giving me points to think about. 

Lab 4

Today was lab 4, and I am carrying on with my coursework one. I got feedback from my lab tutor today to see if I am going along the right tracks. This helped me see what I was doing right and where I was going wrong. Today our lab tutor showed us how to use turnitin and how to submit our coursework one which is due in tonight at midnight. I have finished designing the interactive TV for myself and my other user on Photoshop. I will finish off the work by the end of today as I only have a little left to do and I will then submit it through turnitin.
